Shared Work Program Layoff Aversion is a New York State program designed to help companies to keep from laying off staff. This is accomplished by allowing an employer to reduce staff hours or wages from 20 percent to 60 percent per week and subsidizing wages through unemployment insurance benefits. May be subject to the company's number of employees.
